The Chickasaw Nation Health System (CNHS) is devoted to improving health education in the communities it serves. To do this, the CNHS is working with the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to provide access to quality health information that will enable you to make healthy choices.
The Chickasaw Health Information Center (CHIC) is located in the main lobby of the Carl Albert Indian Health Facility (CAIHF). CHIC provides you the means to research health issues in a private and secure environment.
Charged with the mission to collect, organize, and distribute published literature of health sciences, the NLM is working with organizations, like CAIHF to design programs to make the existance of this collection of health information widely known and available to the general public as well as health professionals.
The creation of CHIC at the Carl Albert Indian Health Facility (CAIHF) is one way to help patients learn to improve their overall health and well being. The reliable online resources are free to use and can help individuals find answers to their health questions while they wait at CAIHF, or in the privacy of their own home, on their own time.
