The health and safety of Chickasaws, employees and patrons is our main priority. As the coronavirus, or COVID-19, spreads globally and cases rise in the U.S., some Chickasaw Nation events, classes, facilities, etc., will be postponed, closed or canceled out of an abundance of caution. For more information regarding the coronavirus as it relates to the Chickasaw Nation, please visit our Chickasaw Nation website. We will continue to update these pages regularly as the situation progresses. Thank you for your understanding during this time. Visit Chickasaw Nation Website

About CHIC Resources

The creation of CHIC is one way to help patients learn to improve their overall health and well being. The reliable online resources are free to use and can help individuals find answers to their health questions while they wait at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center, or in the privacy of their own home, on their own time.

The Chickasaw Nation Division of Health (CNDH) is devoted to improving health education in the communities it serves. To do this, the CNDH is working with the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to provide access to quality health information that will enable you to make healthy choices.

The Chickasaw Health Information Center (CHIC) is located in the main lobby of the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center. CHIC provides you the means to research health issues in a private and secure environment.

Charged with the mission to collect, organize, and distribute published literature of health sciences, the NLM is working with organizations, like CNDH to design programs to make the existance of this collection of health information widely known and available to the general public as well as health professionals.
